Hidden Gem in the Karamoja

Best Time to Visit

Nakapiripirit enjoys a tropical climate year-round. The dry seasons from June to August and December to February offer the most comfortable weather for exploring.

Getting Here

Located about 95 km South of Moroto along the Moroto–Mbale highway. Accessible by public bus, private hire, or self-drive — approximately 1.5 to 2 hours from the Moroto or 350km North East of Kampala.

Where to Stay

Choose from guesthouses in Iganga town, community homestays in the sub-counties, or lodges in nearby Jinja — Uganda's adventure capital, just 30 minutes away.

Language & People
