Amolatar, Uganda — The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Amolatar District, Ms. Rhoda Oroma, has officially handed over the office of the Local Council V (LCV) Chairperson to the newly elected district leader, Hon. Morish Ogwal Omara, marking the beginning of a new leadership chapter in the district.

The handover ceremony, held at the Amolatar District Headquarters, was attended by district officials, technical staff, political leaders, and members of the community who gathered to witness the transition of authority following the recent local government elections.

In her remarks, Ms. Oroma congratulated Hon. Ogwal Omara upon his victory and urged him to prioritize service delivery, transparency, and accountability in his leadership. She reaffirmed the commitment of the district’s technical team to work collaboratively with the new political leadership to improve livelihoods and accelerate development in Amolatar.

“This is a moment of continuity and renewal. We are committed as the technical arm of government to support the new LCV Chairperson in achieving the district’s development goals,” Ms. Oroma stated.

Hon. Morish Ogwal Omara, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to the people of Amolatar for entrusting him with leadership. He pledged to focus on key priority areas including education, health services, road infrastructure, and wealth creation programs.

“I am deeply honored by the confidence the people of Amolatar have shown in me. My administration will work tirelessly to unite all stakeholders and ensure improved service delivery across all sub-counties,” Hon. Ogwal Omara said.

The new LCV Chairperson also called for cooperation among political leaders, civil servants, and development partners, emphasizing that teamwork will be essential in driving transformation within the district.
